Picking the Right Network Marketing Company for You -- Do's and Don'ts
Pick a Company Tier 2
If
you’re thinking about joining
a network marketing company, you may have several different
opportunities that
you’re considering. How do you know which one will be right
for you?
Here are just a few basic "Do's
and Don'ts" to get you started in your decision-making process.
Do – Get very clear
about why you want to start a business.
Make a list of all your reasons. Then figure out the two or three most
important. Your list could include making more money (exactly how much
and what
you will do with it), being able to stay home with your kids, doing
something
more challenging or personally rewarding, getting off the corporate rat
race,
being your own boss, enjoying a flexible schedule, or just having fun.
Keep
these reasons in mind as you evaluate each network marketing
company.
Don’t
–
Jump into the first opportunity that comes along just
because someone you know is in it. It
might not be the best fit for YOU.
Do – Pick
a product or service that you can completely
get behind. It’s soooo much
easier to sell something you’re
excited about. Keep in mind that you’ll be using your
company’s products or
services yourself. It’s always a good idea to try them out
before you sign on
the dotted line.
Do– Find out what
kind of upline support will be available
to you. It may be that the person
sponsoring you is
nearly as new at this as you are (which is okay, we all have to start
somewhere), so be sure to see who's above them. Will you be getting the
same
blind-leading-the-blind advice from your upline leaders, or do they
actually
know how to be successful in this industry?
Don’t –
Believe anyone who says they'll do everything for you.
If
you don't have to do anything, what do they need you
for? Smells
like a scam to me.
Don’t –
Believe anyone who says there's no selling involved. If
they're telling you this, you better
find out EXACTLY how it is that you're going to be
making
money. There's a very good chance that they're lying to you
since every
network marketing company is in the business of moving products or
services –
in other words, SELLING.
Did this list give you something to
think about? A lot of it is plain old
common sense.
But
there's a lot more you need to
know before you can make a good decision. I've put
together two more short
reports to help you evaluate both the company and the compensation plan.
"Investigate Before You Invest"
"Compensation Plans -- Cutting Through the Confusion"
Remember as you do your research that you are
selecting an opportunity
you're going to be investing your time and energy into for hopefully
years to
come. Choose wisely!
Best of
luck in your new business!
Oh,
and one more thing!
I agree you definitely need to investigate any new network
marketing company
you're considering joining.
However, the best company in the world with the same-old same-old,
tried-and-failed, mlm approach isn't going to give you the results
you're hoping for.
YOU are
the key factor in the equation. When prospects start
calling you out of the blue and begging to join your team, it will be
because they want to work with YOU.
It will be because you have
taken steps to build their trust by offering them solutions to
their most pressing problems. It will be because they look up to you as
something of an expert.
How do you accomplish this?
May I suggest that you take a look
at my Basic Training course, if you haven't already done so. (The link is in
the menu on the left.) It will give you a really good start in
learning this exciting new approach I've been talking about.
